An adventure into this moment.
This moment, not the next and not the last but right here, right now. Not talking about it but being.
So if I accept and are willing to be right here right now, in this moment, what might happen? Do I know?
And, if I don’t know, then it could be unexpected. It could be scary? It could be terrifying. It could be wonderful. It could be nothing.
So it is a great adventure.
It gets talked about often as a good thing to do. Live in the moment. What does it mean for you?
It might mean, just think about what you are doing right now. Just focus on what you are doing right now. Question – does thinking about what you are doing in this moment involve thinking about the next moment too? Because if you are thinking about what you are doing then the chances are you are planning the next step in your action.
So narrow it down even more – right back to just this moment. How long is a moment? Is it a second or a minute? Or neither?
Maybe it isn’t thinking. What if it is feeling? Can feeling be just in this moment?
What if it isn’t even feeling?
Maybe it’s awareness?
Maybe it’s being?
Mmmmmmmmmm. Try an experiment. Just STOP. No thinking about stopping but just immediately stop. (As you read the word) Here in this moment. And what do you discover? Maybe you discover what is here in this moment. Maybe it’s stillness. Maybe it’s presence. Maybe it’s quietness. Maybe it’s something else.
Maybe it’s something indescribable that you catch a glimpse of just in this moment. Something you want more of.
Something that is so right, so true, so pure, so sacred, so wonderful. So you.
Something that gives you trust in life, trust in yourself and the knowing that whatever happens to you and around you, has nothing whatever to do with you, actually. Freedom.
