Will I be hypnotised?
No, not in the way people often imagine. The hypnotherapy used at The Inner Path is a gentle guided relaxation process.
You remain aware and in charge throughout. The purpose is to help you relax deeply and connect with what may be happening beneath the surface.
Do I need to know what I want to work on before booking?
No. Many people arrive simply knowing that something does not feel right. You might feel stuck, anxious, disconnected or unsure where to begin. That is okay. Part of the work is gently clarifying what is happening for you.
How many sessions will I need?
That is your decision. Some people begin with one session, while others choose a three-session option or ongoing support. You are in charge of the pace, and Annette can help you decide what feels right for you
Are sessions available online?
Yes. Sessions are available online through Google Meet, so you can work with Annette from anywhere in New Zealand. Online sessions can still be personal, gentle and deeply supportive.
Where are in-person sessions held?
In-person sessions are held on the Kapiti Coast. Annette offers sessions from her small home, where you can sit comfortably in a calm, private space with nature nearby.
How much does a session cost?
A one-hour individual therapy session is $115. Three sessions paid in advance are $300, and ongoing sessions are $105 each.
Discounts may be available for people on a low income or experiencing financial hardship, so you are welcome to ask.
What is counselling with hypnotherapy?
Counselling with hypnotherapy combines gentle conversation, deep listening and guided relaxation.
Counselling gives you space to talk and be truly heard, while hypnotherapy can help you relax deeply and explore the subconscious patterns, beliefs or emotions that may be affecting your life.
What happens in an individual therapy session?
An individual therapy session is private, confidential and one-to-one. You can talk about what is happening for you, even if it feels hard to explain.
Annette listens without judgement and helps you gently explore what may be sitting underneath your feelings, thoughts or patterns.
Can hypnotherapy help with anxiety and overthinking?
Hypnotherapy may help you relax your nervous system and explore the deeper patterns that can sit underneath anxiety, fear or constant overthinking.
Rather than only trying to manage the thoughts, the work gently looks at where they may be coming from.
Who are supervision or mentoring sessions suitable for?
These sessions may be helpful if you want to feel more present, confident and clear in your work.
They can support people who notice old patterns affecting how they communicate, lead, respond to pressure or relate to others professionally.
What retreats does The Inner Path offer?
The Inner Path offers small, gentle retreats in Paraparaumu for people who want to rest their mind and reconnect with themselves.
These include Awaken Retreats and Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls sessions. They are designed for people with busy minds who want space to pause, relax and listen inwardly.
How do I book a session or ask a question?
