In the day to day happenings, it is real that you do your job, look after your family, eat and sleep.
In the week to week happenings, it is real that you plan what you need to do, schedule in meetings and get togethers, and coffee with friends.
In the month to month happenings, it is real that you carry on – your work, a holiday, a relationship, money.
Underlying all that, what is going on inside you. What seems real?
Your beliefs, your values, your patterns of behaving?
What about your survival strategies?
What about what drives you – needing love? Needing to avoid conflict and anger? Needing to analyse and figure out what is happening?
When you cast your thoughts back over your life, what are the most impressionable memories? Were those happenings real?
When you realize that the thoughts you think are mostly on repeat and that they come and go and change, can they be real?
Even emotions, when we experience them in the body without blaming thoughts, they dissolve, change. Are they real?
Even gut feelings, they change, repeat, link into emotions.
What is really real?
When you consider your dying and leaving – every thing, every person, every value, every belief, every way of being – what then is real?
Maybe there is something else to consider – like what is constant inside you – deep under all that stuff that I have mentioned.
